Halocarbon employee advocates for killing protesters

On June 14, 2025, one of the largest protests in United States history was held all across the country. In Aiken South Carolina and Augusta Georgia protesters came out in large numbers. They peacefully protested the Trump administration’s policies on immigration and military action in US cities.

The Constitution of the United States guarantees the freedom and right to speak out and to assemble without fear of government attack. One employee at the local North Augusta Halocarbon plant found this action distasteful and proceeded to advocate for murdering protesters. Beyond that, Mr. Leighton Stringfellow, advocated for arresting and deporting American citizens utilizing those freedoms.

Stringfellow’s post featured local Old Catholic Bishop, Right Rev. Greer Godsey and his family. They were out protesting the actions of the Trump administration.

“We believe that Trump has overstepped his constitutional authority by sending the military into Los Angeles and has decided that he is not bound by our constitution,” Godsey said. “To call for our deportation for speaking out, for exercising our freedom of speech and freedom of religion is not just abusive, it is dangerous.”

Godsey said that he takes the threat of violence against their family by Stringfellow very serious and will be reaching out to law enforcement about it.

“People like Mr. Stringfellow believe that they can say whatever they want online and that it is not serious. However, given things like what happened in Minnesota this weekend, it is not just serious, it is deadly,” Godsey said referring to the murder of a state senator and her husband and the serious injury of another senator and his wife.

Threats against protesters is not a new phenomena, however, the number of threats that lead to violence have increased dramatically since Trump’s first term in office. Trump has routinely advocated for violence against anyone speaking up against his policies at his rallies.

Godsey reached out to Halocarbon and has received no response.

Halocarbon is based in Corners Georgia and manufactures all types of chemicals used in various industries like aerospace, electronics, and pharmaceuticals.

Godsey stated, “I am greatly disappointed by the lack of concern from Halocarbons corporate offices. I believe this shows they support Mr. Stringfellow’s comments.”

Godsey plans to reach out to the North Augusta City Council about revoking Halocarbons license to operate in North Augusta as well as reaching out to the various companies who do business with Halocarbon about their belief that the company supports Stringfellow’s beliefs and violent rhetoric.
